The trendiest neighborhood in Lisbon became famous for its atmosphere and unique location.

On top of the hill, Príncipe Real can easily take you anywhere, from Chiado and Bairro Alto to Rato and Estrela neighborhood in just a few walking distances.

This is an ideal trip location if you like staying with style in a residential district full of personality and charm.

It is a very famous and charming neighborhood of Lisbon, known for being one of the most trendy districts of the capital, because it’s very busy because the streets are filled with palaces, gardens and viewpoints. In this neighborhood you can also find different and varied clothing stores, museums, antique shops and design shops.

One of the best known streets in the neighborhood is Rua da Escola Politécnica, this street have a collection of old and well preserved mansions, the National Museum of Natural History and Science, the Botanical Garden of Lisbon, the National Press and the Príncipe Real’s Garden, underneath the latter, is a reservoir of the nineteenth century, which is part of the Water Museum. In the square is one of the most famous kiosks, very typical Portuguese, the Oliveira’s kiosk, or, the Príncipe Real?s kiosk. 

In front of the square stands one of the most beautiful and original shops in Lisbon, the famous Embassy (Embaixada), which can be characterized as a commercial gallery, located in a nineteenth-century neo-arabic palace, which divides its rooms into several shops, joining creativity and innovation in the design and fashion of various artistic creators.
