The Government announced this Saturday that it will meet with trade unions, tenants’, owners’ and consumers’ associations (DECO) regarding the increase of rents for 2024 and the rules for “old rents” contracts from before 1990. The meetings are planned for 21st and 22nd of September.
According to inflation figures recently released by the National Statistics Institute (INE), the value of rents could increase by 6.94% in 2024, if the Government does not establish a limit on updates, as it did this year.
